At Metalcolor, we believe that progress and responsibility must go hand in hand. Our work with coated aluminium has always relied on precision, quality, and innovation — and that same mindset drives how we approach our environmental impact.

We know that industrial production has a footprint. That’s why we’ve taken concrete steps to reduce ours:

• Energy Consumption: We continuously optimize our production processes to use less energy per tonne of coated aluminium. We constantly monitor as well as adjust our production tools to improve efficiency and reduce waste heat. Learn More
• Recycling and Material Use: Aluminium is infinitely recyclable, and we make the most of that advantage. We recycle production scrap and work closely with our suppliers to ensure responsible sourcing of materials . Learn More
• Cleaner Energy: 100% of the electricity used in our operations comes from renewable energy. A part of it comes from the 5700m2 of solar panels located on the roof of our plant in Forel (in partnership with Holdigaz SA and Energiapro SA).
• Commitment to CO₂ Neutrality: Metalcolor is working on a decarbonization plan with the Swiss government to achieve CO₂ neutrality by 2050. This long-term commitment is more than an ambition— it’s a binding framework that holds us accountable and guides our decisions today. Learn More
